Course Description

This class is designed as in introduction to computers for newer users.  We will cover the basics parts of the computer, the operating system, and software applications, and basic computer terminology.  Students will gain hands on experience using the computer hardware, customizing their monitor screen, using the keyboard and mouse.  We will cover letter writing, sending and receiving e-mail using web based and computer based e-mail applications, and using a web browser to search the Internet for information, shopping, and entertainment. 

Course Objectives

Because this class is structured toward first time computer users, we will be covering material in breadth, but not in much depth.  Students may want to consider following this course with other courses in the Introductory Series.
